What is the Gozo Indoor Sports and Aquatic Pavilion (GISAP)?
The GISAP is a multi-purpose indoor sports and aquatic facility located in Victoria Gozo. It offers a wide range of facilities including a multi-functional Olympic-sized pool, gyms, courts, and studios, serving members.
Where is the GISAP located and what are its opening hours?
The Pavilion is located in Europe Street Victoria, Gozo.

What are the access hours and last entry time?
Entry is allowed up to one hour and 45 minutes before closing time. For the Outdoor Padel Court, Squash Courts and the Wellness Area, entry is allowed up to one hour before closing time.
Access Card and Registration
How do I get an Access Card?
You can register for an “Access Card” via the GISAP website or at the reception desk. Access fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
What type of Access Cards are available?
A single standard access fee of €10 per person per year applies uniformly across all categories.
Can non-Access card holders use the facilities?
Access to GISAP facilities is restricted to registered members holding a valid Access Card.
Which facilities are available to Access Card holders?
All registered members of GISAP holding a valid Access Card are entitled to use any of the facilities offered within GISAP.
Fees & Booking
What are the booking rates for the different facilities?
Rates vary by facility and are charged per 1 hour 45 minute session. For Outdoor Padel and Wellness Area, rates are charged per 1 hour session.
When and how do I pay for my booking?
Fees must be paid at the time of booking or upon entry. Payment can be made at reception or through the GISAP website.
Are there any discounts?
Yes. You can benefit from reduced booking rates for most facilities, if you purchase Prepaid Packages.
What are GISAP Prepaid Packages?
GISAP Prepaid Packages allow users to prepay a selected amount (€20 or €40) and benefit from discounted quarterly rates for reservations, without needing to book far in advance. Each package is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
How do I purchase a Prepaid Package?
Log in to the GISAP website, go to “Pricing → Prepaid Packages,” and select either the €20 or €40 package to purchase online.
How is the prepaid balance used when making a reservation?
When you make a reservation, the system automatically recognises your active Prepaid Package (linked to your registered email address), applies the discounted quarterly rate, and deducts the corresponding amount from your prepaid balance.
Can I top up my prepaid balance?
Yes, you can purchase additional Prepaid Packages at any time. New packages are added to your existing prepaid balance and can be used immediately.
How can I check my prepaid balance and usage?
Go to “My Account → Prepaid Packages” on the GISAP website to view your current prepaid balance, see the list of purchased packages, and review reservations paid using your prepaid balance.
Facilities & Use
How do I book a facility at GISAP?
Bookings can be made in person at reception or via the GISAP app. Payment is due at the time of booking.
Are there restricted areas or times for visitors?
Yes. Visitors cannot access member-only sessions or certain facilities unless an access fee and an on-line booking have been registered. Last entry is 1 hour and 45 minutes before access ends. For Outdoor Padel and Wellness Area, last entry is 1 hour before access ends.
Are there hygiene rules for pool and gym use?
Yes. Users must shower before entering pools, wear suitable swimwear and swim caps, and follow all hygiene instructions. Non-compliance may lead to ejection without refund.
What are the rules for pool usage and visitor access?
All visitors using the facilities must have a valid QR code showing the Access Card (in case you are a member) and a QR code for the specific booking.
Can spectators be present to view a certain event taking place a GISAP ?
Yes. Attendance by spectators is permitted for designated events that are open to the public, provided seating capacity allows. Admitted spectators will be issued a colour-coded wristband for identification.
Can children visit GISAP facilities?
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (maximum 6 minors per adult) or be part of a club. Children under the age of 5 are to be supervised by a professional/certified coach to make use of the pool. Children under the age of 16 are to be accompanied by a personal trainer to gain access to the Fitness Gym.
What is the maximum number of swimmers permitted at any one time in the teaching pool area and in the main pool area?
The maximum number of swimmers allowed at any one time is 30 persons in the teaching pool area and 60 persons in the main pool area.
Safety
Who is allowed to enter the GISAP Gymnastics Training Hall?
Only registered gymnasts, authorized coaches, and staff may enter the training hall. Spectators must remain outside the training area.
Are emergency exits available?
Yes. Emergency exits must remain unobstructed at all times.
What clothing should I wear in the Gymnastics Hall?
Approved gymnastics attire must be worn. Loose items like jewellery and watches are not allowed. Outdoor shoes are prohibited on mats.
Are phones or electronic devices allowed during training?
The use of mobile phones or other electronic devices during training is strictly prohibited.
Can I bring food or drink into the training areas?
No food or drinks are allowed, except water in sealed bottles.
Where should I store personal belongings?
All personal items must be stored in designated cubbies or lockers outside the training area.
What happens if I get injured during training?
All injuries, no matter how minor, must be reported to GISAP staff immediately.
Equipment & Facilities Use
Can I use equipment without supervision?
No. Only trained and authorized individuals may use gymnastics equipment, and certain areas like the climbing wall require certified supervision.
Who can adjust or set up gym equipment?
Only staff or authorized coaches may adjust, move, or set up equipment.
Conduct & Behaviour
What are the conduct and safety rules at the Pavilion?
Users must follow all posted rules, wear appropriate attire, and follow staff instructions. Hygiene and safety standards align with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 20121.
What happens if I violate the rules or engage in unsafe behaviour?
The Centre Manager may ask you to leave the premises immediately. You may also be issued a temporary ban or administrative penalty.
Can I be banned or fined for misconduct?
Yes. Violations of conduct rules or unauthorized access may result in fines (up to €100), temporary bans, or loss of membership privileges.
Disciplinary Measures & Appeals
How do I appeal a disciplinary action or penalty?
Appeals must be lodged within 5 working days via the GISAP website. An Appeals Panel will review evidence and issue a decision within 7 calendar days.
What if I disagree with the appeal outcome?
You can escalate the matter to the Ministry’s Sports Appeals Board, whose decision is binding and issued within 14 days
